I would like to simulate internet access in Packet Tracer using a server. I have 2 routers, one as a LAN and the other as a gateway to a server. I have rip v2 set up on both, so I can ping between the router outside of the LAN and a pc that is inside the LAN. I want to give the server a non-private ip (so let's say 17.5.8.7).
There are 2 issues I ran into, one being that whenever I try to ping the server it gives the error: 'Server0 has no functional ports', the second that whenever I try to access the server via a web browser from the pc, it doesn't load at all. I'm sure I've overlooked something, but I am a bit lost. I know this may be a bit of an abstract example (this is for a school project btw).
