I am getting the following error reported by syslog on CW2k but the source address is the management station:
%SNMP-3-AUTHFAIL: Authentication failure for SNMP req from host x.x.x.x
The management station (CW2k) has no problems managing the device so I cant understand why the 6509 is complaining??

It's an Authentication Failure trap. Likely causes could be:
1) Host trying SNMP get/set using wrong community
2) Host trying to SNMP get/set using a community for which ACL is configured that forbids access.
