I have a series of IOS routers and switches and want to configure SNMP the same on each. What I do not understand is the different logging levels (ie notifications, alerts, warnings). Can I select more than one? Do any of them give me everything? If I select warnings, what will that send to the syslog server?
Any info would be great.
Thanks in advance

The meaning of the different logging levels are -
*0 Emergencies - System is unusable
*1 Alerts - Immediate action needed
*2 Critical - Critical conditions
*3 Errors - Error conditions
*4 Warnings - Warning conditions
*5 Notifications - Informational messages
*6 Informational - Normal but significant conditions
*7 Debugging - Debugging messages
no you cannot select more than one logging level.
To limit the types of messages that can be logged , you have to set the appropriate logging trap level by using the command "logging trap

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/477/RME/rme_syslog.html has some good Syslog related info as well.
