Hello
As the number of SNMP TRAP destinations and syslog log destinations increase, keeping a large number of network devices configured with the right destinatinons becomes a fairly large job.
I would like to have one trap-receiver - could be a loopback interface on a central router. That router must duplicate and relay SNMP and SYSLOG messages and send on to each og the "real" trap and syslog receivers. Of cause without changing the source-address of the packets.
"ip helper-address" may do the job if the devices in the network sends to a subnet broadcast address.... or somthing
Can that be done and has anyone tried it?
