vlan accessing problem with unmange switch

i have catalyst 3550/12gibic switch & catalyst 2950g 48 port switch how i can

configure both the switch i have given hostname,ip address,password both

for previllage & telnet i create cluster,vlan1,vlan2, is this sufficient

i can see frontpanel view

i can see topology view

i have assign ip address only vlan1

trunk port can carry multipple vlans but i have other end 3com unmanag switch i got the network but cannot ping

i need to assign manually vlan for that trunk port is that options

no switchport access vlan 2

switchport access valn 1

when i put that that connections in vlan1 it working fine

pls give me any suggession for configure the switch

1) Use a dot1q trunk in stead of ISL with the non-cisco equipment when you want to transport multiple vlans across one link. 3Com doesn't support ISL (Cisco default/proprietary)

2) Please notice that you configure a trunk on your 3Com switch otherwise it may not work.
