what is the command to send a snmp trap test to your nms system on a cisco 3600 router? TQ.

I don't know of a way to send one out from the router. I'll be intrested to see if anyone knows how. Good question but i'm affraid the anwser is it can;t be done.

I'm not sure if the command below is platform-dependent but you can try:
snmp-server enable traps snmp
If your 3600 has an ethernet interface connected to a host or switch, you can
try disconnecting (and re-connect) the cable from the port. This should send
a snmp Link Up/Down trap to the NMS.

well this is one way, but you usually don't do this on a router that is carrying live traffic.
Catalyst 6500 can do it, the command is
test snmp trap [trap-number]
so I assume there is a way for cisco router too.
