Sometimes, Cisco makes no sense

I bought a WIC-1ENET to go along w/ a 1720 router. I had a pretty late IOS 12.2(5) on it but then I plug it in, WHAM!!!

%PQUICC-1-UNKNOWN_WIC: PQUICC(0), WIC card has an unknown ID

I come to find out that only a FEW IOS'es support this interface. I looked up the WIC-1ENET on the configurator ... not a single thing mentioned about a particular IOS needed. Now I'm screwed because I'm not a CCO partner. I look REALLY REALLY bad.

This bites.

Support for new hardware is always put into the T train only to avoid destabilising the main train. This is clearly documented in the following URL

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps2641/prod_module_installation_guide09186a008007cf93.html

I found this by doing a search on WIC-1ENET from the main CCO home page without even needing to log in.
