Stacking 3750 switches

I have a question, I have two c3750 in production alread and would like to stack them into one switch. My question is can you stack two switches that are already in production together? If so how, do I need to remove the IP address and the hostname of one then stack them? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you ordering the stacking cables for the back of them ? If so then yes you can remove the ip on one , you will only need one address to manage the stack

I already have the cables. I just never stacked any already in production. I have always done them out of the box. Also what about the hostname, do I need to delete the hostname off of one as well?

Yes you will only need 1 ip and one hostname to manage the entire stack . If you want a particular switch to be the stackmaster for the stack you will need to set your priorities for the switches . Good page for 3750 stacking.
