Hi,
We have a few DHCP scopes running on a 6513.
If I ask the DCHP binding list I see these adresses.
IP address - Client-ID/Hardware Address
x.y.z.196 - 0152.4153.2000.02a5.75a1.cbbe.0101.0000.00
x.y.z.197 - 0152.4153.2000.02a5.75a1.cbbe.0101.0000.00
x.y.z.198 - 0152.4153.2000.02a5.75a1.cbbe.0101.0000.00
x.y.z.199 - 0152.4153.2000.02a5.75a1.cbbe.0101.0000.00
Is there someone who can tell me what kind of Client-ID's these are?
Best regards,
Radio Netherlands.

Hi,
I can see the same in my router. The strange Client-IDs belong to simple IP addresses, there is no subnet allocation.
Any idea what do these hex numbers try to tell us?

Hi,
I have found out that those addresses belong to a windows RAS box, and are given when someone calls in.
For wat I have found it seems to be normal behavior and could be explained for RAS is just like a layer 2 device and ask for IP adresses.
Regards,
Stefan.
