switch as router-on-stick?

Is it possible to use multilayer switch (like 3550) as router-on-stick?

[layer2-only sw w. some vlans]--- dot1Q ---[3550 with ip routing enabled]

May it work?

Hello,

this should be no problem. Create the SVIs on the 3550 for your VLANs and the dot1q trunk to the Layer 2 switch, that should do the trick.
