%SYS-2-MALLOCFAIL on Cisco 828

I Have a specific Problem with 828.

After an heavy Supply-Voltage-Failure of my facility, three of my 828-Routers display an

memory-allocation-failure.

I think the memory of those routers was corrupted

by that supply-voltage-failure.

Is there any possibility in IOS to exclude parts of memory so that we can use these 828 again ?

Thanks for your help

Stefan

Link to troubleshoot memory allocation failure

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1831/products_tech_note09186a00800a6f3a.shtml#topic1

Briefly;

What is Memory Allocation Failure?

Memory allocation failure means either:

The router has used all available memory (temporarily or permanently), or

The memory has fragmented into such small pieces that the router cannot find a usable available block. This can happen with the processor memory (used by the Cisco Internet Operating System [IOS]) or with the packet memory (used by incoming and outgoing packets).

Is this a one time error or does it happen often? Have the routers been reloaded since the power issue?

Usually a reload will free up any fragmented memory.
