Hi Techies,
I'm having a Cisco Works 2000 (LMS-2.0) installed in Win2000 server. Its having RME-3.3. Now problem is the syslog.db database keep on increasing. I'm looking for some procedure by which the old data from the syslog.db database can be deleted and the size of the syslog.db database remains under control. Pls note that I'm not looking for restoring the backed-up database using restorebackup.pl perl script. As this restores the other databases also. I want only the syslog.db database to be considered.
Any suggestion is most welcome.
With best regards,
Malay.

Under RME->Administration->Syslog Analysis, you can reduce the numebr of message as well as number of days for Syslog messages that you want to save. That will help keep the syslog.db under control.
In RME 3.5, for the same above screen there has been additional Purge Options added where not only the user can backup the syslog messages but also automatically purge them based on the settings.

Yes, you can upgrade from 3.3 to 3.5 per 'Upgrading from a Previous Version': http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/cw2000e/e_3_x/3_5/install/solaris/install.htm#1035414
As for getting the upgrade, it is not available as a download from CCO. You can order it either via: http://tools.cisco.com/gct/Upgrade/jsp/index.jsp OR your normal sales channel.
