syslog parser required

Does anyone know of a syslog parser, that I can use to mail myself important syslog messages as they arrive ?

Realy looking for freeware or a script. Has anyone written anything like this ?

RME witihin CW2000 has a Syslog Automated Action feature which will send out automated notifications based on the Syslog messages and the user settings for the notifications, but it's not a free ware.
