Ok we have a single T1 coming into a cisco 2621 router. From the router I am unable to ping a domain name. Internet access is fine.. telnet is fine. Form any machine on the network I am unable to ftp at all from inside to anywhere.. not even ftp.miscrosoft.com or via ip address. I called my provider of the T1 and they said everything appeared to be routed correctly... I ahve opened the router up computely to allow for full traffic in and out and no luck.. it only happens with FTPing. anyone have any idea what the heck is going on and how to fix it. We have other T1's in different locations with the same provider and they work fine.
Thanks

You can specify that the Domain Name System (DNS) or an IEN-116 name server automatically determine host-name-to-address mappings. Use these global configuration commands to establish different forms of dynamic name lookup:
ip name-server
ip domain-name
ip ipname-lookup
ip domain-lookup

Are you running NAT?
Do you have any ACLs/Firewall on either end?
One of these is probably the problem.
