Having a problem that is hard to catch. It seems that the CSu is responding to a yellow alarm that only lasts about 1 second. It is my understanding that anything less than 3 seconds (yes that is seconds) is not supposed to get a response at the T1 level. However, it appears that he router is dropping the PVC and immediately re-establishing it. WHY?

Did you see the link flapping error messages in the log? If the configuration is correct, you may need to do more testing with telco.

I'm sure that the errors are something that the LEC can isolate and fix. The problem is how the WIC/Router is reacting to an alarm condition. It seems inappropriate to respond to an alarm condition that lasts less than 2 or 3 seconds. I think the standard is 3 seconds. If so, anything less causes interuption of service as the PVC/Frame resets. Is there a means to turn off this reaction to alarm conditions to test this theory?
