TESTING LATENCY - DSL AND LS1010

What would be the best method to test latency through an ATM network with DSL? Specifically, the core is an LS1010 with 6130 and 6160 DSLAMS at remote offices. We use the 4-port FLEXI (w/ NI-1 and NI-2) and 8-port DMT (NI-2 only). The boxes connected to the LS1010 for access are a 7206 Router and the other an AAC-3 access concentrator.

The tests that I have done show differences between the 8-port card vs. the 4-port. The 8-port has a longer latency on a consistent basis. Or is this an NI-2 issue because actual traffic takes priority?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
