I have an 2600 series router with NM-16am whis has been configured for Dialin.The usename and password are configured in the router itself.
Can any body help how to configure my router for three attempts to login by the windows 98 PC with Dial-Up-Networking

Hello,
do you have AAA configured on the router ? If so, you could use the command:
aaa authentication attempts login 3
to limit the attempts to 3.
