im having a serious traffic problem over here,although im usin policy maps to reserve a constant persantage of my bandwith,for special applications;i cant stop undesired rate traffic.why policy maps r useless?? do i miss anything?heres some info about my config.

eigrp

leased-lines over e1

custom queue;

policy-map zzz

class xxxxx

bandwidth 48

class yyyyy

bandwidth 48

xxxxx and yyyyy are descripted by needed access lists

5300 Software (C5300-BOOT-M), Version 12.0(4)T1 as dist. layer

c2600-js-mz.120-5.T1.bin as access layer

the main problem here is xxxxx applications exceed 48

Hi,

Is the "sh policy-map" command define the bandwith you have configure or not ?

Take a look at the example below :

class-map match-all TELNET

match access-group name ACL-TELNET

...

policy-map LIEN-1920

class TELNET

bandwidth 512

...

ip access-list extended ACL-TELNET

permit tcp any any eq telnet

permit tcp any eq telnet any
