Upgrading 3500XL to Layer 3 feature set

Hi,

Currently we have catalyst 3548XL with IOS Version 12.0(5.2)XU. I just want to know is it possible to upgrade this Catalyst to layer 3 feature set.

Unfortunately the answer is no. The Catalyst 3500XL series of switches were only meant to be Layer-2 switches. If you want Layer-3 functionality on a workgroup switch you should look at the 3550 or 3750 series.

By the way Catalyst 3548XL has reached End of Sales status.
