Using PCMCIA Flash Cards from different platforms

Is there any way to use a PCMCIA flash card from a router in another different router platform, e.g. a PCMCIA flash from a 7500 router in a 3640 router?

it can't be done but I want to make sure.

Hello,

I think I should work, but you have to reformat the flash card if you use it in another box.

Be aware that the flash cards may have different speeds. Small platforms that run IOS form the flash card need faster flash cards than platforms that load the IOS to the main memory for execution.
