I'm trying to configure a 6506 with 12.1(20) and a MSFC in it, when I create vlans, I'm able to see only vlan is as up and up, all other vlans appear as down down, I did shut/shut but that doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions?
Are the vlans active in the database and do they have active ports in them? A vlan interface will only come up if it is active in the database and has active ports. Show vlan will show you this.
In order to have more than 1 vlan active at a time you must have a VTP Trunk line. Make sure your connection to the other switches is set for trunking.
