vlan question...

I'm not to familiar with vlan's. I'm learning though...

I have a 2900 series switch with two fastethernet ports.

One faste port has the following command...

switchport mode trunk

The other faste port has this command...

switchport access vlan 25

Could someone please explain to me the difference between the two??

The one with switchport mode trunk is most likely your uplink, it will pass all vlans through it.

the other only allows access through it by users on vlan 25.
