I want to transport two Vlan originated from my 7206 on a single FE, through the 2950, up to the GE interface of my UBr.
I configured my two routers with encaps dot1q, an vlan id 100 & 101.
I created two trunk port on the 2950, allowing the transport of these 2 VlANs (which were already configured).
I also did configure an ip interface on this 2950, belonging on vlan 100.
My pb is:
When i try to ping from my Ubr the 2950, it's working; but not from my 7206.
When i debug "ip packets" on the 7206, i can find the message "encapsulation failed" ; however both my 7206 and UBr are configured with the same parameters...
Does anyone have an idea ?

Does your 802.1Q trunk between the 7206 and the 2950 have the same native VLAN at both ends. Could you please post a "show cdp neighbor detail" from both ends of that trunk?

Make sure you're running an IOS that will support dot1q encapsulation, at least IP Plus I believe...
