voice over MPLS

dear all,

we are planning to shift our WAN from costly leased lines to cheaper MPLS connectivity. i just would like to know what is the reliability of Voice on MPLS. Since MPLS traffic is any available route, how can we assure that certain level link qualtiy.

Typically you would use MPLS Traffic Engineering to set up a guaranteed bandwidth LSP across the network, this would guarantee that the requested bandwidth is available end to end. Voice traffic could then be marked with a specific QOS using the EXP bits in the MPLS header, this traffic could then be queued in a low latency queue on each router along the path.
