Hello all, I was wondering if a 4006 port (while spanning) could also inject a packet for the purpose of blocking with an IDS. Does anyone know if there are any restrictions using a 4006 SUPP II for vspan, rspan? Thanks,
CatOS SPAN ports can send/receive non-SPAN traffic. In IOS switches this tends to not be the case, though newer software versions are including support for this. I don't know whether or not current IOS versions for the 4000 series include such functionality -- someone here from Cisco may know.
