Hi community - NooB here.
Ive got a WS-C3560G-24TS set aside for WCCP running 12.2(25), Image C3560-ADVIPSERVICESK. As far as I can see WCCP should be available, but the WCCP commands are not available.
result of 'ip wccp' results in % Unrecognized command.
'sh ip in' results in the following being shown:
WCCP Redirect outbound is disabled
WCCP Redirect inbound is disabled
WCCP Redirect exclude is disabled
I can only assume Im missing something to get WCCP activated on the unit - any help appreciated!
Oh, and yes, Ive been through the documentation. :)
Thanks.

This URL says how to set it up on a 3560.
How you enabled an sdm template that supports wccp? For example, execute the below and reboot:
sdm prefer routing

Hi Philip, thanks for hte quick response.
Ive been through that doc already, and set sdm preference to routing:
AUSY-WCCP01#sh sdm prefer
The current template is "desktop routing" template.
The selected template optimizes the resources in
the switch to support this level of features for
8 routed interfaces and 1024 VLANs.
number of unicast mac addresses: 3K
number of IPv4 IGMP groups + multicast routes: 1K
number of IPv4 unicast routes: 11K
number of directly-connected IPv4 hosts: 3K
number of indirect IPv4 routes: 8K
number of IPv4 policy based routing aces: 512
number of IPv4/MAC qos aces: 512
number of IPv4/MAC security aces: 1K
I note though that the routing template Im using is 'desktop routing'. Are there any other variations of the routing template that I should be using?
Cheers mate.

Hmm, I'm not sure. Perhaps try a slightly later software version - even though it says it is supported in 12.2(25).

Hi guys, thanks for your assistance.
updated to 12.2(55) ipservices and its working fine.
Thanks again,
Garry.

That is the correct template.
However I think the docs are misleading.
I just checked the release notes and the first mention of WCCP being supported is with 12.2(37)SE so I suspect that is the problem.

Garry.
