Hi All,
Stupid question but what is the default metric given to a directly connected interface?
Is it 0 or 1?
I know a static route will receive a metric of 1 and I think that an interface will be given a metric of 0 but not 100% sure.
Please help?
Thanks

Hello,
you are right, directly connected interfaces have a metric of 0.
This document has a listing of all the metrics, might be useful:
