I am trying to assign an IP Address to a fastethernet interface on a WIC 4ESW card in a Cisco 1751 to attach a Aironet 1310 Bridge to. When I try to assign the IP address, I get an error about not being able to assign IP Addresses to L2 devices, yet I assigned an IP Address to Fast Ethernet 0/0???

I've never heard of the WIC-4ESW, but if it is anything like the NM-16ESW, you have to issue no switchport to the interface first, if you want to use it at layer-3. You need at least 12.2(15)ZJ or 12.3(4)T to do that.

The WIC does not support configuring each individual port as a routed port. If you need them to be on different subnets you will have to assign a different VLAN to each port and then configure SVI on the router (using interface vlan command). The following link will show you how to do this:
