Have you plugged a phone to FXS port yet ?? Do you get dialtone when you go off hook ? "no shut" should bring it back to normal..

Hi There,

Thanks for your reply..

Yes I have connected phone to both FXS port.

Initially one voice port No Dial tone.

so I shut the voice port....then I No Shut the voice port.

After that both VOICE port no dial tone.

So I have to reset the router..then both voice are back to normal.

Is the any specific command to shut the voice port beside NO SHUT

Thanks

Regards

David

Have you created a POTS port yet. Normally you will do nothing to the voice-port itself but configure the POTS as such.

PBX(config)#dial-peer voice 1 pots

PBX(config-dial-peer)#destination-pattern 9001

PBX(config-dial-peer)#port 1/0/0

You configure the dial-peer, add the number to it via the destination-pattern and then tie the physical voice port to the dial-peer. You can then configure another POTS line as such by creating dial-peer voice 2 and then add the other voice port to it with a different phone number. You at that point should have dial-tone on each of the phones and should be able to dial each other.

Hope this helps,
