Hi all:
I am not a wire "guy" but recent issues has required me to wear this hat. Can someone tell me what the cable pinouts from the smartjack to the router (wic/dsu/csu) should be? Thanks for any info!

Hello,
I am not sure if what you are looking for is contained in one of these documents, you might want to have a look:
WIC-1DSU-56K4 Cable Specifications
WIC-1DSU-T1 Cable Specifications
WIC-1T One-Port Serial WAN Interface Card Cable Specifications

If you're using Category-rated UTP (Cat 5, 5e, 6) it should be terminated according to EIA/TIA 568 specifications.
The pair order should be either:
White-Orange, Orange, White-Green, Blue, White-Blue, Green, White-Brown, Brown (568b)
OR
White-Green, Green, White-Orange, Blue, White-Blue, Orange, White-Brown, Brown (568a - this is the Telco standard in the USA)
Both of the above assume the clip down / away from you, with the open end facing you (if you are terminating to mod-plugs)
If you are terminating to a punch-down component (panel or info outlet), then split the pair over the appropriately colored post with the White-
T1 will use the pairs on pins 1&2, 4&5 (the blue pair, and either the orange (568b) or green (568a) pair). Even though only two pair are used, all four pair should be terminated.
Good Luck
Scott
