X2 Twingig SFP changing from gig to tengig

Hey Guys,

Here is my situation.  I have a new 5520 wireless controller that I am connecting to our Core.  The model of our core is 4506.

The model of the card with the X2 ports is a WS-X45-SUP6-E

When I first got the controller, I only had a gig SFP, so I connected it to the core X2 Twingig port and used the command:

hw-module module 1 port-group 1 select gig.

This allowed me to use the X2 twingig port as a gig and the link light for tengig went off.  I figured that was normal, and I was able to connect the controller at a gig speed.

Now we have a tengig cable to connect our wireless controller to the core.  So my thinking was to do a no hw-module module 1 port-group 1 select gig and put hw-module module 1 port-group 1 select tengig

The show commands reflect the change and show the x2 modules in tengig mode, but I dont have an amber link light on the tengig (which I did before the command to change to gig) and can not get the controller and core to show an active link light....

I've read every bit of documentation that I can find, but cant find anything on changing back to tengig on the twingig x2 port.

Thanks

Jared

Another question that might be the issue, is shared backplane enabled by default for the two twingig sfp modules in that supervisor, and did I unknowingly disable them when I switched to gig mode on the twingig devices???
