Xmodem and Catalyst 2912 IOS

Hi - I got a 2912 switch without a IOS. I'm trying to use Xmodem to load the IOS I download from the Cisco web site, using Win 98 with Internet Exploxer. I have double checked my HT setting, they are set as 9600,8,N,1,N.

When I enter the command copy xmodem: Flash:c2900XL-c3h2s-mz-120.5.2-XU.bin, and then tell HT to send the file, I get the "I/O error" from the switch.

Be sure the filename is exact as well as the syntax as it's case sensitive. If you're following the xmodem procedure exactly as shown here:

and you still get the I/O error, try another PC and/or console cable. Also be sure you start the transfer quickly after entering the xmodem command on the switch.
