They both support BGP/MPLS, but how you plan to implement BGP/MPLS is the critical factor.
- how many BGP routes are you going to hold? If you are looking to load full routes from the Internet, then you likely need 256MB RAM (which the 2600 can't support, and only a few 3600's can), less if you are storing partial BGP routes.
- how "fancy" will the BGP/MPLS config be? The more tweaking you do to either protocol, the more processing power you'll need in order to do it.
- what WAN circuit speed do you need to support (or upgrade to)? The more throughput required, the more processing/RAM needed.
Without any details (and assuming this is not a test lab scenario), I would suggest looking at more hefty routers in the 7000 (7200/7500/7600) series since they can support more RAM and faster processors. If I were you I'd definitely pilot this before going into production.
Just my 2 cents.

Hi CK
Thanks for ur help
- in a short talk..some parts of our Network relies on 2600 or 3600 routers..so i may need to include them in the MPLS domain and configure BGP on them..to support TE and MPLS VPNs.
-about loading them with full internet routes or not , yes it might be loaded , but if they cannot withstand this number of routes,..is there any other idea to not have this full routes..
-if i am gonna use BGP for MPLS VPNs only..i think the will be supporting the few hundreds of routes , right.??
-WAN circuits speeds are Multiple of E1s
well that's all

Mohamed
