I'm trying to connect my WS-C3550-48-SMI Catalyst switch to a 3com SuperStack 3 Baseline 10/100/1000 switch via a 1000Base-T copper GBIC.
If I connect the GBIC directly to a PC running a NetGear GA622T NIC it works just fine (connects at 1 GB). However, if I cable the 3550 to the 3com then connect to the PC it doesn't work. I see from the 3com docs that it requires flow control so I turned on send and receive flow control in the 3550 but it still won't. I suspect it's an interface configuration issue between the 3com (which auto-senses) and the 3550 but I can't figure out what it is.
I should note that the indicator lights on both the 3550 and the 3com indicate that a connection is established and working. Pings will occasionally work.
The IOS is 12.1(9)EA1c
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
