Hi all,
we installed a Cisco 9500-32C in out rack and man ... the thing is hanging down like hell. So I stumbled upon the optional orderable rack mount kits of the 9500. The PIDs are listed in the data sheet.
However, there is no documentation (or at least I didn't found one) what's inside those kits.
Examples:
C9500-ACCKITH-19I= | Accessory Kit for Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series – High-End - 19" rack mount |
C9500-ACC-KIT-19I= | Accessory Kit for Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series - 19" rack mount |
C9500-4PTH-KIT= | Extension rails and brackets for four-point mounting for Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series – High-End |
C9500-4PT-KIT= | Extension rails and brackets for four-point mounting for Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series |
So I guess to additionally fasten the C9500 on the rear rack posts, I need some kind of "four-point mounting" rack.
Anyone knows the difference between the "High-End" (C9500-4PTH-KIT=) version and the normal version (C9500-4PT-KIT=).
Especially, because the high-end version is 200USD GPL cheaper compared to the normal one.

Check this link before buying a kit:

Hi @luis_cordova ,
thanks for the link. However, the case is still not crystal clear.
So the guy in the Reddit thread buyed the "C9500-4PTH-KIT=" (Extension rails and brackets for four-point mounting for Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series – High-End) for a 9500-40X and this did not work. However, for the 9500-40X, the normal kit (C9500-4PT-KIT=) worked.
So, this is just a theory, but could it be, that the "High-End" kit (C9500-4PTH-KIT=) is for the "High-Performance" 9500 models (e.g. C9500-32C, C9500-32QC, C9500-48Y4C, C9500-24Y4C)?!
If yes and someone from Cisco reads this, please adjust the data sheet and use a consistent wording across the data sheet... "High-End" != "High-Performance" :)
Could someone please confirm (or destroy) my theorie above? :)

I feel very stupid now! There's a support matrix in the data sheet.
Table 5. Accessory matrix
To justify myself - I was searching in the data sheet for the PID of the rack mount kit and only got one hit. This is because, the PID is word-wrapped in table 5 :)
So as I thought: The "H" in the PID indicates, that the kit is for the high-performance models only.
