Difference in Asyn and Syn of Serial Interface ?

Please clarify, when to the Asyn and Syn mode of a Serial Interface.

How to configure each mode then ?

You cyn configure,

interface Serial X/Y

physical-layer async

or

physical-layer sync

These Interfaces support up to 115.2 kbps in async, and up to 128 kbps in sync mode
