Hi there,
I have a slight problem which I hope you guys will be able to help me out with.
I have a IGX8410 WAN Switch which we are trying to reconfigure to deal with our Leased Lines. They have not been used for some time and the guys that configured them have long since gone and I have no idea or record of how they are set up or user names and passwords. So I need to recover them some how only I have no idea how to get into the things. The usual "break key" at start up doesnt do anything so I cannot reset the flash. Does anyone know the break sequence for these or how else I can get in? Its annoying because I have two of the things with this same problem.
I have trying setting the hyper terminal session to 1200 and holding space....but this doesnt work either. They are a bit "old school" but I'm sure some of you guys have has experience of them!!
Please help.
Thanks in advance
Andy

Andy,
Check the link below for standard break sequences.

Hope this helps you out.

Andy,
You cannot recover the password from an IGX using the regular break sequence method.
Put a call into the TAC and provide them with a dialin access to the IGX ( modem on the console or aux port). They will be able to get into the IGX using an engineering access available only to TAC and then help you with setting up access for Superuser level.
