Hi all,
we have a newtork configuration with two 6500 (supervisorII) as the Core and the default gateway of the LAN.
On the same subnet, for the Internet gateway, we have a Nokia IP cluster with CheckPoint FW-1.
The redundancy of the whole net is made with OSPF routing protocol.
The Cluster make a neighborship with the two Core switch and send LSA with as router-ID a phantom IP address, different from his physical address.
The Cluster FW act as a ABR and pulls the default route to the other router, also for the core switch.
All works fine, but sometimes, without reason the two switch do not install the routes learned from the firewall...
On all core "sh ip ospf neigh" non have problems
and either "sh ip ospf database", the only strange thing is that, if I put: "sh ip ospf database adv-router <Cluster_FW_ID> " I see that this address is unreachable...???? the same address that I Knewn from some seconds ago.... without network and/or config changes !!!
Anyone have similar situation or any suggest???
thank you very much,
And sorry for my bad english :-)
Graz.
