Hi,

The below messages indicate that the PPPoE client has sent the initial Discovery message, but failed to receive an offer:

May 23 04:25:36 pppd[933]: Timeout waiting for PADO packets
May 23 04:25:36 pppd[933]: Unable to complete PPPoE Discovery

So either there is a bug, probably on the PPPoE client side, or there is something happening at layer 2 (like for example are the links towards your routers configured as portfast), or is there anything else in your environment which could affect the layer 2end-to-end connectivity?

Regards,

Cristian Matei.

thanks for reply
what about Use PPPOE over VPLS ? do you have any idea about that ?

Hi,

It has to work, if this happens from time to time, take a closer look at your VPLS environment, at the transport network.

Regards,

Cristian Matei.
