User disconnects after 4 mins when dialling from France to UK

I have a customer in the UK who has a MD that holidays in France, when trying to connect from France the dial up connection fails after about 4 minutes, but when in the UK the connection is fine.

Does anyone have any experience of French Telecoms ??

Have we tried connecting for any other location (phone line), maybe it's some thing to do with that particular line.
