801 router and vpns

Hi

I am trying to set up a vpn at the moment I have a Pix 501 at head office all ready to go, but at the other end I have a 801 router which I have to upgrade so that it will be able to handle firewall duties and create a vpn to the head office.

I have tried searching the net for any sample configs on how to do this without any success.

So please can someone out there help with a simple configuration on how to set an 801 router to dial an ISP and create a VPN to the head office.

Hi Anthony,

You can setup Site to Site VPN between PIX501 & 800 router once it has the right IPSec IOS on it:

you cannot make a PIX501 act as a EZVPN server so you cannot use the 801 as a EzVPN client to terminate on the PIX501, hence Site to Site is the only available solution.
