Has anyone seen an issue with the ALPs driver/process called apoint.exe? When CSA (any version) is installed, the apoint.exe process takes off and consumes the CPU. Writing a policy that ignores the process doesn't seem to resolve it; and when I uninstall CSA everything is back to normal.
Removing apoint.exe from the startup doesn't seem to impact the function of the touchpad, but it is not recommended by the vendor.
Any suggestions?

I am seeing the same thing. Have you had any luck on your end?

I'd take it out of startup. We had to write a trojan exception (keystroke logging) for apoint.exe, but I never heard of the program consuming the cpu like that; and we do not run the program from startup. Also make sure you have the correct driver - apoint supplies oem drivers for laptops such as Dell.

I experienced the same issues on my Dell Latitudes. I ended up removing Apoint from all my laptops because Dell could not provide me with an answer.
