Can't install IEV

When I try to install the IEV on my w2k box (sp2, several security hotfixes) I get a message saying I have to uninstall MySQL before I can continue. The thing is I uninstalled MySQL several months ago. I looked for it anyway but found nothing left over. I'm thinking maybe a registry key? Can anyone help me on this?

Check if you have the following registry key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE:

SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MySql\ImagePath

I guess the problem is when you uninstall mysql, its own uninstall program didn't automatically uninstall the mysql service program since it was installed manually by user not the install script. So, your mysql service program probably is still there which prevents IEV install program to continue.

You nailed it. Thanks a bunch. I deleted the ImagePath key and it installed right away. Thanks again. I guess this shows me how much I need to learn about Windows.
