Hello,
Is it possible to do a continous ping in pix 501 (6.3)? Like 192.168.1.4 -t in command prompt. If so, how?
Thanks
D

Hello D,
I don't think there is continous ping functionality in Pix. Seems like it could be bad security practice if that was implemented.
Hope that helps! If so, please rate.
Thanks

Hello,
Using 6.3 this is not possible. However, if you upgrade to 7.0 then you have some more options available such as repeat count or timeout. It's not like 'ping -t' but you can repeat for example over 2billion pings - now that's a lot of pings ;)
btw - I have tested this on FWSM running 3.1(1) <- this is equivelent to PIX 7.0

fyi - Pix 501 can't run 7.x code.
