Hi,
We are testing CSA agent, and users seem to get very slow logins to PC after boot. I also noticed that Winlogon.exe seems to be in task manager for up to 15 min., and PC's hard drive activity is clicking non stop.
Did anyone had this problem with CSA?
Is there anything that can be done, or is it a normal behavior?
The csacontrol.exe task and the okclient.exe do not seem to take much CPU when this happens, but when you uninstall the client - bot process and logon are much faster.
Any ideas?

Hi Liza,
Is it version 4.0(3.716)?
There is a known bug (CSCef32910) with winlogon
Thanks

Tom,
Thanks for your reply.
I'll check this info right away.
We used 4.03 - 717, but it might have it as well, as I noticed that shadow injects a process into winlogon.exe, so it has to do with csa...
Thanks,
Liza

Tom,
I checked the bug info:
it was for WinXP (we use win2k) and I guess that it was in live mode (we are in test mode), as people were not able to logon to login to domain - we are able to...
So, I am back to where we started - I have no idea why it causes slowdown.
Thanks,
Liza

You might try the 720 build, maybe you found a new bug?
Are you running any other software that includes the CTA? You could also build an agent kit without the network shim and see how that performs.
