DMVPN 80-20

Dear Forum,

why shoud the trafic profile be 80% spoke to hub and only 20% hub to hub using DMVPN?

Is there a reason?

We plan to have 220 spokes. Some will do windows terminal servies between each other (sometimes), but the most of them (190) will only exchange 2-3MB application data during the day.

During update times we will have most of the traffic between the hub and the spokes.

Hi Christian,

Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN) does not function in conjunction with Network Address Translation Traversal (NAT-T) mode; I guess the 80 20 rule has got something to do with this. Any way, you can change the percentages slightly in the design but changing it to cosiderable amount would be resulting in lesser efficiency.
