CSPM event viewer has stopped working for us. When trying to watch events I get an error message telling me that the IDS services need to be turned on. I close Event Viewer, restart the services (which show as running already), and try again. Same result. Configurations to the sensors will not go out; it just sits there after you push the Appove Now button. Has anyone else run into anything like this?
I see a "Try reinstalling" answer coming down the line so I'll ask my other question now. Is there any way to get the latest copy of CSPM that requires just one file installed? My CSPM disk is version 2.2 and there are a lot of service packs to install after that.
Thanks in advance for any advice you might have.

If you have a support contract you can download and execute the CSPM-v233i.exe file to install version 2.3.3i of CSPM.
http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/cspm
As I understand it, If you are willing to start from scratch on CSPM you can just deinstall 2.2, and install 2.3.3i, and the only thing you will need from 2.2 is the license.dsk file.
If you need to maintain your database then follow the instructions in upgrading from the Release Notes:
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/ismg/policy/ver23i/reln233i.htm#xtocid659012
Once you have 2.3.3i you will need to install the latest signature update file: CSPM-233i-S11-exe.zip, refer to the associated readme for installation instructions.
