I've just had a new PIX delivered with V7.0(4) installed and I've been trying to upgrade the 3DES licence.
have gone to http://www.cisco.com/go/license filled out my details, added the serial number from the PIX, been emailed the new activation key.
...but each time I try and add the key I get: "ERROR: The requested activation key was not saved because it is not valid for this system."
any ideas why i'm getting this error??
thanks

just wondering the code received is 4-tuple or 5-tuple. with v7, the activation key should be 5-tuple.
one way to resolve this issue is to send an email to licensing@cisco.com.

I received a 5-tuple from Cisco. funny thing is, I'm getting the same error on a additional PIX which arrived today.
Maybe it has something to do with them both being PIX-515E-R-BUN's?
I've given Cisco a quick email, hopefully they can tell me where I'm going wrong.
thanks for the reply

I'm getting the same error with my new shiny 5-tuple from Cisco on my PIX-515E-R-BUN.
