Failover question

Hi all,

I am trying to find the best way to failover or redundancy. I am trying to use two T1's, with two pix and two ISA. What I want to do is separate my services between these two. I wna on one pix my VPN, SMTP. On the other, I want to use it for surfing. When on failsover, I want all those services to joined on the remaining PIX. Is there any way of doing this?

Michael,

Failover works with one active and one standby PIX, so what you have described is not feasble with two Pixes.

With more PIX redunancy pairs and a firewall load balancing device, it would be possible to accomplish what you are looking for, but with 2 Pixes in redundancy, one is not servicing requests.
