FWSM Connection Timeouts

Hi,

I need to change the connection time out.

We use an application that is outside our firewall.

The application is an client server application with the client local on the network and the server outside the firewall.

The users seems to loose their connection after a period of time.

What timeout value do i have to change to keep te connection for a longer period of time ?

What are the consequences if i change that value?

If you execute a show timeouts it will show you the default timers. The max time depends on your code level, the maximum for us is 18:00 h. We have seen very little impact from making this change. This is for both Xlates and Conn's. I am sure there is some performance impact when you get to a certian level, we have yet to reach that point and we have 10's of thousands of lines of ACL on our FWSM.

The 18 hour thing is a known bug in certian versions make sure you check depending on how long you were looking at setting them to.
